Disneyland Day 4: Part 2

After our relaxing visit to the Tiki Room, our next stop was over at Big Thunder Mountain!  Again, we essentially walked right on.  It was a very minimal wait.

Big Thunder

Our next stop was the Golden Horseshoe Revue.  We were originally going to get something to eat, but we weren't hungry (big breakfast + dole whip will do that to you!)  Probably for the best as our only options were hot dogs or ice cream.  I did get a Diet Coke and we settled in for the show.

Golden Horseshoe
They were trying to find a husband for the Mayor's "lovely" daughter.  It was pretty hilarious and definitely worth stopping at.  I wish they still did the show at WDW's Diamond Horseshoe!

We decided to try to find the Mickey beignets and have them for "lunch."  On our way, we saw the wait for Pirates was minimal, so we jumped on!

Arrgghhh
We eventually found the beignets at the Mint Julep Bar, which is behind the French Market.  We took a seat and enjoyed the band.

Jazz Band
At that point we had a decision to make: head back to the hotel for a break, or keep going on?  Neither of us were particularly tired or hot (in case you haven't noticed, we took a good number of breaks during the day so far) so we decided to keep on going.

We hopped back on the train and got off at Main Street.  We wanted to walk through the Castle and see the story.  So we window-shopped and headed up Main Street.

Sleeping Beauty. My favorite.
The Castle walk-through is nicely done.  We had one more thing on our list: Innoventions!  Now, when Geoff and I went last time, the technology in the House of the Future was pretty decent and Geoff went around telling me all about it.  This time? The technology was the same as what they had in 2.5 years ago.  So I was pretty disappointed.  We didn't spend too much time in there, so we rode Buzz again...twice.  We needed to improve our scores!

We finished up and took the monorail back to Downtown Disney.  We window shopped some more and then had dinner at Naples.  (Again, no reservations.)  It looked like it was about to rain...but it was California, so it didn't.  At least not where we were.

On our way back to the hotel for a lazy evening (it was a long day!) we stopped at the candy store and picked up some dessert for later.  We then saw a rainbow above the Tower of Terror.  Weird!

Something doesn't seem right about this!
